Ellie’s Starblanket: A Legacy of Tradition and Honor
My Story
Hello! I’m Eleanor Crane (Ellie), a proud member of the Tsuu T’ina Nation and a dedicated healthcare professional. I’m the daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Crane (Kineyewakan), and I’ve been blessed with a loving family, including my late husband Scott Ferguson and our two children, Virginia and Alex.
Following Scott’s passing, I found the inspiration to pursue my passion for creating Star Blankets, traditional Indigenous blankets symbolizing healing, protection, and celebration. Each blanket is carefully crafted to represent an individual’s journey towards wellness or their accomplishments. As a full-time home care nurse, I’ve seen the impact of compassionate care on people’s lives, and I’m committed to continuing this work through my business, Elliestarblanket.
As a breast cancer survivor, I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story and inspire others. I’m excited to grow my small business and share the love, warmth, and positivity of Star Blankets with my community and beyond.
